My Mavic Pro Stick Guard was designed to rest nicely on the subtle curved surface of the remote (better fit). The cups on the stick guard are also angled slightly to be a perfect fit on the surface of the outer gimbal housing. This means the stick guard is not pushing down on the sticks but simply preventing sticks from moving. All the load will be applied on the surface of the remote!
