These are spacers and (temporary) storage for the front-end control knobs for an LG LDE4415ST range.
The cooktop elements are turned on by pushing inward on the control knobs and turning the knob. The knobs are quite sensitive and it's very easy to turn on the cooktop elements by mistake (bumping into them, reaching over the cooktop, etc.). This design was prompted to protect against accidentally turning on the elements (which indeed happened to me just before I created this design).
