I wanted to make a tiny fan that I could power with the computer's USB port, using one of the hundreds of motors I've collected over the years from tearing apart old optical drives for recycling.
This fan uses a FF-030PK motor that's very common in DVD drives.
The motor's voltage varies, depending on the model, but for what I could find online it's either 5.5v max or 7v max, and in both cases it can be used with the USB port (5v).
