I designed these inserts to fit an MT2 morse taper on my lathe, and to act as jaws or pads for a pen press. The idea is to use your tailstock as the press.
The insert has a female cone to fit the tip of a pen. The female taper for the pen tip is only 5mm, so it can be used as a flat jaw as well (because it's smaller than 7mm).
