Bryan Cera's Custom Chess Set

Designed from scratch as a holiday gift to my father. My brother, Joe, aided in the design of several pieces.

I designed these pieces to accommodate .72" diamater ceramic magnets.

Many of the pieces are also drawn to incorporate 8-32 and 1/4-20 acorn nuts for a bit of extra industrial snazz. (See exploded diagram photo for reference.)

The board pictured here is just eight-inch x 1.5" laser cut acrylic squares epoxied onto a 12"x12" steel plate (purchased at the Home Depot!).
