I wanted a stand for my TV, which has a 200 x 100 VESA mount. I trawled the internet and couldn't find one that I liked so bought a surplus Dell stand and set about making an adaptor.
The adaptor fits straight on to the Dell stand via 4 x countersunk M4 x 10mm bolts. I bought a stand suitable for a 22in monitor and its counter-weighted nicely (there's a spring in the arm to allow easy movement up and down).
