3 Degree of Freedom Joint

This is a quick prototype to try out an idea I had for a 3 DoF joint. It's very much a work in progress, so it currently doesn't do anything. Eventually, the arm needs to be designed to have cables attached to it to actuate it.

The benefits of this joints are that the string can go through a larger radius turn from horizontal to vertical, it should be pretty low friction once made out of better materials, and the range of motion is quite large. If the strings are angled down more, it could pr
