sap spout for collecting maple sap

I designed these spouts to hold up a gallon coffee can with a notch to hold the can on. just drill a hole in the side of the can big enough for the spout to go inside. I found this spout to be very handy because, the lid of the can doesn't need to be cut for this spout to work, it is heavy enough to tap into the tree with a hammer, and because it is plastic, it will not harm the tree or a chainsaw if left in the tree.
