After upgrading my Davinci 1.1 plus to a ramps this part allows fitting of a E3D hotend using the original top back motor mount for a bowden type extruder. (removes the motor weight off the x axis). This also allows for a depth sensor and the original 12v fan to be fitted for cooling PLA when printing. The carriage uses 4 x LM8UU (8mm x 15mm x 24mm) bearings.
