This is a foot I designed for use on a BigDelta 3D Printer I'm building. The BigDelta uses Openbuilds 4040 V-Slot for vertical towers.
The foot is cushioned by a cut-in-half squash ball which is very close to 40mm diameter. The idea is to isolate vibration and give the printer an ultra quiet operation.
The design is mean to avoid the need to tap the ends of the 4040 for it to be secured. Instead it uses a wedge-like mechanism inspired by some kinds of drywall anchors. There are holes f
