Almost four years ago, I took my personal daily headphones to a shooting and lend them to the sound operator. At the end of the day, the little joint between the structure and one of the headphones had broke. I remember myself clearly saying "No worries, sooner or later I'll get a 3D printer, learn some CAD and repair this". That day has come and I have new headphones again.
