Fighter hex flight stand

If the game you play includes fighters or torpedoes which fly in a fleet but only take up a single hex (e.g. Starmada, Federation Commander etc), then this is the component you need.
Print out tiny (scaled down) spaceships, glue them to pin heads, then cut out a bit of foam or rubber to fit in this base. As your fighters are shot down, you can remove one at a time. Much more fun than using a die to track the remaining number of fighters. :)
