This is my zortrax solution to side load the filament. The original filament mount is on the back and the struggle was real. At the top is room for the filament tube or a screw hole to mount an optional filament monitor (to be designed).

This filament mount can support big rols, and different inner diameters with optional (to be designed) adapters. I use a little grease on the filament bar to ensure smooth rolling.

The holes to mount the top to the bottom are for m3 screws.
