After reading an article online and seeing a few pictures i decided to model my own linkage "chainmail" as similarly as I could to the one NASA produced, excluding the continuing of the rings/torous in the linkage design through the center portions as well as the material (NASA's was metal, most likely produced on an SLS AM machine, whereas this was plastic).

PS, I thought I'd mention this was printed actually made on a RepRap Pru
