Here is a recreated "resistor pack" that is common on C3 corvettes original gauges. The original resistance is calibrated at 90 Ohms. With this pack you can modify the resistance to work with the replacement gauge senders that are not 100% accurate.
The OEM Sensor on the engine will read about 80 Ohms when at 212*F Replacement sensors read 102 OHMS at 212*F.
In my case I am installing an LS1 from an 02 Camaro and needed a factory sensor that would fit in the new style heads (M12 x 1.5) I use
