This is a model that I designed a while ago, it was meant to be 3D printed or CNC routed.

The model is designed to be cut in 1 mm plastic sheet, the openings on the pieces have this dimension, so if you want to cut it on a thicker material you will have to scale the model up, I would used a 1/32 2 flutes flat milling bit to cut it on my Zentoolworks 7x7.
