The plastic belt holding the front of a fan snapped off. This was the fix.
Use a 25-35 mm M3 screw and nut to join two of them. Glue it to the "belt".
FreeCAD file included for those that feel like or need modifying it.
May be necessary to print with 100% infill for strength.
****Edit:
Added v2 of the FreeCad file; find the "Pad" in the Combo tree-view and double click to change the length of the thing: Anything 25 mm or longer seems to work now.
