The Universal End Insulator has a number of practical uses. I like to use then to support a random wire and a counterpoise when I'm QRP portable. It winds up on itself for easy storage.

Random wires not your thing? Use them as end insulators for your dipole and when your done wind up each leg on one for quick transport and storage.
