Wavebird Receiver Stabilizer

I am one of maybe three people on the planet that still uses a Wii, and my favorite controller is my trusty Wavebird. When Nintendo designed the Wavebird controller, its receiver was designed to fit flush with the front of the Gamecube. But when connected to the Wii, it sticks out quite a bit.
