I was very unhappy with all the designs that I tested for the z-Axis. The original design was not stiff enough and the design with thicker rods and igus bearings that I made was not working at all due to the extreme breakaway torque and a nasty stick-slip effect.
With the new design I am very happy, that is why I want to share it with you. I bought a Set of Chinese Copy HIWIN MGN 12 Rails 400mm long for 40 Euros, threw the bearings away and bought two original MGN12H Linear Bearings for 60
