This allows for your 3D printer spools to be suspended directly above the extruder(s), and rotate horizontally to combat poor spooling (spiral effect) that is seen with some faulty filament rolls.
The problem:
I had a couple of rolls that were poorly spun that created a rigid spiral (or slinky effect) when printing. The issue seen from the worst spun rolls ended with failed prints due to the filament slinky effect being so bad as to wrap around printer parts, and jam the extruder feed motor
