There are 2 versions, the regular that extends the lamp about 7 inches and the short version that extends the lamp about 5 inches.
You will need (2x) #10-24 or 10-32 by 1¼ inch screws and matching nuts to secure the extension to the base. Use the Ikea screws to secure the lamp to the extension.
