This is my boffer longsword. I designed it to be used in HEMA with kids. I based the design on standard feder from Rergenyei
Being a foam blade with a glassfiber core we can minimize the need for protection.

To prevent the glasfiber tip from working its way through the foam i use a 5cm long piece of armored tube that is threaded 2.5 cm over the end of the two glasfiber rods. The extra 2.5cm protruding makes a good spring and makes the foam bend round the glasfiber ends.
