Feed Drive Gear Singer Sewing Machine

A friend of mine found out one day that the feed dog for her old Singer sewing machine stopped moving. The feed dog is the part of the sewing machine that pulls of the fabric while you're sewing so you get a distinct stitch length however you have it set.

It turned out that the feed drive gear had crumbled to pieces inside the machine. This part was meant to turn the feed drive shaft gear which moved the feed dog. Also no one online seemed to sell the part as the model of machine was so old.
