Schaltergehaeuse thing

I do not have a single clue what this thing is, but it looks nice and I printed it for a friend of a friend of mine. The original name of the genuine drawing from 2007 is named "Schaltergehaeuse". Maybe you do know what it is?

To be printed upright with 15% fill, 3 shells, 0,1mm filament layer height, with raft and supports.
