Nichrome Styrofoam Cutter

This is a styrofoam cutter I made a couple of years ago for a school project.
Ideally it should be laser cutted on a 3mm mdf board and assembled with a nichrome wire of about 22 awg.
This should be powered with about 12v direct current power supply with at least 3 amps.
* I need to verify the nichrome wire gauge and power capabilities of this design. And add a self tensioner on the design (maybe 3D printable as an add-on).
DO NOT USE THE MAINS POWER TO POWER THIS!!!
