I found out my headphones had a crack...creeping slowly.
Fixed temporarily with a brace and mitigate the cracking until I get it to the service center.
You basically just place it in between the expanded hinge and slide it down to fit it to the part which should reinforce it a bit and keep it together
Hopefully this helps other users with similar issues
