A hose adapter to allow a DW375 planer to be used with a 2.5-inch shop vac hose.
The adapter that comes with the planer is meant to be used with a 4-inch dust collection system (the maximum volume of chips it can produce can overwhelm a 2.5-inch hose). However, we don't all have 4-inch systems and for smaller planing jobs a 2.5-inch hose is sufficient. An adapter is needed to fit the 2.5-inch hose to the hose adapter that connects to the planer.
