Drill attachment conversion for 2.5inch Three Jaw Chuck

I made a modification to the housing of this project by replacing the thread with a 12 mm or ~1/2 inch protrusion that can be chucked up to a drill. I added a cone shape to the inside of the old thread so this will all print in one piece.
I've also considered replacing the snap ring with a pin system to make it stronger, so let me know what you think and i might do it.
P.S. I'm using this for a ghetto ring lathe, but i'm sure there are plenty of other uses for it
