I printed stumphopper's wind gauge and was disappointed with two perceived flaws:
1. Plastic to plastic friction. A breeze wouldn't spin the gauge, only a gust, so I inserted a 608ZZ bearing to allow for smoother rotation.
2. Sagging arms. I live in Southern California. A sunny 82 degree day made the arms sag about 1/2 inch. A hot August day would probably fold the arms all the way down to the post. I used 5/16" wooden poplar rod from the hardware store instead of the plastic arms.
