Shop Vac to 3x1 in. Adapter

This is an adapter I designed and built for dust and grit collection on my surface grinder. I had adapted a plastic accessory that came with the vacuum to do the job, but after a year, the hot particles melted through the plastic.

I redesigned it to use an aluminum extrusion, 1-in. by 3-in. outside with 1/8-in. wall, as shown in the picture. The "V" cut is 60-degrees. I used 1/8-in. pop rivets in this part's holes.
