I discovered this method while printing several small parts.

Print this cylinder near each of the 4 corners of your printer WITHOUT raft or brim (do one corner at a time). A skirt may be necessary just to get plastic to the tip of the extruder. The goal is for them to stick to the printing area without causing deformation at the base. You should be able to clearly see the hole through the bottom of the piece.
