This is a baby rattle made in the style of a magical girl (maho shoujo) rod or wand. I recently had a baby girl and wanted to make some anime/manga inspired toys and this is my first one. Popular works featuring magical girls include Sailor Moon, Nanoha, Madoka, Card Captor Sakura, and Fate/kaleid llya.
