This design is the result of wanting to mount my Icom 2720H faceplate with RAM mounts in my new Jeep JK. I have a proclip center dash mount (https://www.proclipusa.com/product/213499-proclip-center-mount-extra-strength-mounting-platform) that I put RAM balls on that I mount a variety of things on.
