Mini camera tripod base

I made this base to sit my little flexible gorilla tripod in. Sometimes the legs tend to slip and the camera topples over when I take shots of the sky at night. This little base secures the legs and gives a bit more stability. The holes were made to 10.5mm Dia with a bit of a riser for more stability. I am taking this into the desert with me and sitting it on a table to take shots of the sky. With limited space I can't take a full size tripod.
