Not too bad, took some fiddling. Make your think in inkscape. Select Object-->Object to path. save as plain svg. **Key Step** Open saved svg in text editor and change svg version to 1.0 instead of 1.1. It will name import into tinkercad. Or at least mine did. Cheers.
