This is not meant to replace a metal mouthpiece, but to be used as a spare in case of an emergency. Also know that this mouthpiece works with most trumpets and most soprano bugles, but it's more difficult to hit high notes. This is based on the Denis Wick mouthpiece I currently use, but with a heavier top since it's made of plastic.
