I wanted to build a helping hands using my knock off Loc-Lines I got from Amazon. I designed this to screw onto the standard threaded base and hold a 1" x .125" magnet from Amazing Magnets.
I printed in ABS and this allowed me to put the magnet in (it's snug but easy enough to push in) and then use acetone to glue the 1.5mm cap on, if you use PLA, i suggest gluing the magnet in place and gluing the cap on to make it very secure (the magnet is rated to pick up about 48lbs and is $3.20ea.
