I live in a stone and concrete house. I hate the power socket system used, which mounts the sockets in a hole that a bodgy builder smashed into the wall. They always work loose. I wanted to change this in my kitchen as I modernise it, so I found standard wall-mount sockets and made my own mounting system. The power sockets cost about 5 Euros here, I chose nice Italian ones made by Aiberti that have a neat gold coloured surround.
