The Plytop Shell is a laser cut, hand assembled, SBC shell. It allows you to build a human sized laptop using cheap mass-market components and a Raspberry Pi 3, or similarly sized single board computers.

This is a spinoff of a 3D printed idea I had two years ago. Which is still on Thingiverse here.

The plywood construction means that you can bolt just about anything you want to on the monitor top. The bottom is cut such that you can strap components in with re-usable zip ties. The keyboard
