I designed this stand to have more freedom on the angles you can set the phone to. It allows you to aim the camera better when using FaceTime or Skype video calls, or to take photos and videos of handmade crafts, for example. It is also sturdy enough to hold a 12.9" iPad Pro.
The hole in the back part is meant to hold your charger cable.
