Deep Freezer Latch

My deep freezer's lid no longer seals under its own weight. I had been keeping something heavy on it so it would seal, which was inconvenient.

I designed this latch to keep the lid tightly sealed. The "latch" screws to the lid. The "catch" screws to the front main body of the freezer. I used short self taping sheet metal screws.

Simply lift up on the bottom of the "latch" to open. Push down on the lid to lock. It works great.
