I have abandoned this thing.

Reason: I came up with a better way to address the problem.

Answer: In short; I put my glass on the build plate. Carefully taped around the edge with masking tape. Heated on the build plate. Then poured clear epoxy on top of it. After it cured I put a thin piece of PEI from Gizmo Dorks on top of that.Works perfect now.
