This dial gauge holder is very easy to mount. Put it on the two screws off the hotend and you are done. You have to lengthen the dial gauge by a 70mm extender to use the 5mm range of the dial gauge.
Take the device of while printing. The hotend comes very close to the housing and the device might crash.
