This thing (Red thing) slides into the hot-shoe (flash mount) on a camera and gives a place to mount another camera or cellphone mount of your choice.

I needed to film a video of a group fitness class for a new instructor who will use the video for final evaluation for certification. I wanted a cellphone video as backup!
