I had some left over 12v LED strip lighting from my kitchen renovation that can be cut down on designated points. This is a little less than 6 inches. Simply soldered the wires to it and patched them into the low current side of the arduino.

REDESIGN 04/21/2018

I redesigned this today because I wanted more clearance between the lightbar and the bed. If get bored I I'd like for it to be a little taller still which would be an easy tweak.
