My wife asked for something to prevent the rods from tilting to a side - to give them more stability.

But I liked to remix it to make it fit to my needs:

My top has three holes for the ropes. I think they can be fixed easier that way. There is no hole to inject the hot-glue. You can add a small portion of glue to the rod directly and
