If you have a Makita jig saw and dust extracting nozzle 417853-4 you will probably need this part to stop the dust nozzle to comme off its slots during use. I don't know why Makita did not address this problem, on my 4350 jig saw the nozzle could hardly stay in its position the weight of the hose making it popping of its place. It is fixed now.
