IKEA JANSJÖ Lamp Magnet Base Adapter

This is an adapter that will allow you to replace the original base of an inexpensive IKEA JANSJÖ lamp ($10) with a magnet so you can stick the lamp to magnetic surfaces. This is especially handy for using the lamp as a work light on power tools.

You will also need a "round base pull magnet" (25lb rating is good) and a 12mm M4 hex bolt and M4 nut. I bought all of these at my local Home Depot for just a few dollars.
