Manfrotto Tripod MT055CXPRO3 Spike Holder

For my landscape photography I needed spikes for my carbon fiber Manfrotto tripod. Manfrotto does offer a set of spikes that fit, however I did not like the idea of screwing the rubber feet up and down since I see a risk of not doing that properly and scratching the floor.

On Amazon I found spikes (Photecs® Stativ Spike) with a G 3/8" thread that come with a rubber cover. However, any spike with a G 3/8 thread will do, like this one:
